Once a quarter we take a real platform apart live: 90 minutes, online, free. One team brings its environment, we ask the questions, everyone else listens in and joins the questions.

Why we do this live
We do not describe how we would work — we work. These are the same questions every analysis of ours starts with, and we see the system for the first time during the session: one page of context beforehand, nothing else. When we do not know something, we say so on air. When a problem does not need a consultant, we say that too.

What registering costs you
No form, no registration tool, no account. You send an email, you get the link back.
- Required
- The email address you write from — that is all we need to send you the joining details.
- Optional
- A first name, if you would like us to address you during the session.
- Your role, so we can group the open questions sensibly. Free text, not a dropdown.
- One sentence about your platform if you would like it reviewed. Exactly one system per edition.
- Never asked
- We do not ask for a phone number, an address, a company name, a headcount, a budget, an industry or a seniority level. The invitation carries no tracking pixel, and opening the recording does not put you on a list.
- How long we keep it
- The registration list is deleted four weeks after the session. Registering is not a newsletter subscription: if you want to keep hearing from us, tell us so explicitly. privacy policy
Recording and reuse rights
Before anything runs, it is settled what gets recorded, who owns it, and who can pull it back.
- What is recorded
- The framing, the open questions and the closing are recorded. The live review itself only when the team whose platform we are looking at has permitted it in writing beforehand. In case of doubt that segment stays out of the recording.
- Who is audible
- Only people who speak are audible. If you would rather not be on the recording, ask in writing — we read it out without a name. Nobody needs to turn a camera on.
- Who owns the recording
- The recording belongs to Appetizer Labs. For what you contribute during the session we get the right to show it as part of that recording — and nothing beyond it.
- What we do with it
- We publish the recording on appetizers.io, cut clips for LinkedIn, transcribe it, and reuse examples from it in later editions. It is not resold or sub-licensed.
- The reviewed team's rights
- The team whose platform we review gets the raw footage of their segment, sees the cut before publication, and can withdraw it up to two weeks after the session. The segment then comes out for good.
- Never published
- Never published: screen content holding customer or personal data, credentials, the names of the reviewed team's own customers, the attendee list, and the chat.
- Changing your mind
- If you spoke and later think better of it, email us — we cut your contribution out of the published version.
What happens afterwards
- Everyone who registered gets one email within two working days. One, not three.
- It carries the note from the closing block, a link to the recording where there is one, and the question list we started from — so you can walk your own platform through it.
- One sentence on the paid next step: the live review is the first hour of an analysis, done in public. If you want the same thing on your own platform, with the whole picture instead of an excerpt, that analysis is what you book.
- The team that brought its platform gets the written assessment, whether or not any engagement ever comes of it.
- No phone call unless you ask for one. No second follow-up, no sequence, no lead scoring.
The paid next step
German or English
Three editions a year run in German, one in English. German-speaking mid-market companies are our commercial home market; English-speaking readers reach us today through the blog and the open-source work. Both language versions of this page list every edition with the language it runs in, so nobody registers for a session in a language they did not want. If two editions in a row draw more registrations on the English page than on the German one, we move to two and two.
Common questions
What does it cost to attend?
Nothing. There is no attendance cap, no mandatory call afterwards and no catch. If you never hear from us again after the session, that is a perfectly good outcome.
What data do you need to register me?
The email address you write from. Everything else is optional and labelled as optional. The registration list is deleted four weeks after the session.
Is the session recorded?
The framing, the open questions and the closing are. The live review only with prior written permission from the team whose platform we are looking at. Only people who speak are audible.
We would like our platform reviewed. What does that mean for us?
One sentence when you register, then a short conversation: we put in writing what may be shown and what may be said before the session. You see the recording before it is published and can withdraw it up to two weeks afterwards. You get the written assessment of your platform either way.
Is this a sales event in disguise?
It is a demonstration of how we work, and that is openly the point. Which is why the paid next step appears exactly once, in the follow-up email, and is not sold during the session itself.
Which language does the session run in?
Three editions a year in German, one in English. Each edition's language is stated on this page before you register.
